The aim here is to provide an informed public with GIS data in a shapefile format. This data is a direct result of the work of the researchers from the ALPAGE consortium who released this data under an Open Data Commons Open Database Licence (ODbL). Therefore, use of this data by others must respect the legal requirements specific to this licence. All freely downloadable data contain the shapefiles, metadata file and licence files describing the users rights and responsibilities. All data produced within the consortium is published in this way with the exception of any ongoing work which is in process of academic evaluation (masters, doctoral thesis, habilitation to supervise research).
The copyright notice must adhere to the following format: ‘Source of raster (s) or name of the vector layer (s) © ALPAGE: the data authors first initial and full surname – initials of the author of the map and year it was produced’.
For example, a map produced by Laurent COSTA including the APUR plot map, an extract of the market layer from Caroline BOURLET and an extract of the hotel layer from Boris BOVE, should include the following reference: APUR © ALPAGE: C. BOURLET, B. BOVE – LC, 2009.
Specific case: It is compulsory for any map that contains an extract from the Vasserot raster maps to include the following copyright notice defined by convention with the Archives nationales and the Archives de Paris: “Arch. nat. F31 73-96 – Arch. Paris © ALPAGE”
